Castle and Cathedrals in Krakow

Planning to visit Krakow? You’ll find so much history, great food, markets, beautiful art and architecture. Things that are must sees, the Wawel Castle and Cathedrals in Krakow.

Make sure while walking around you always look up as well. You might miss something awesome just above your head. Like the legendary dragon bones hung above the cathedral door at Wawel Castle!!

If you can make it to Krakow in the spring. You can enjoy the freshly planted flowers along the Planty. That surrounds the old town of Krakow (which use to be a moat.)  :).

Historical Bergamo

Bergamo is in the Lombardy region, northeast of Milan.

Here are the Romanesque Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and the grand Cappella Colleoni, a chapel with 18th-century frescoes by Tiepolo.

Its older upper district, called Città Alta, is characterized by cobblestone street, encircled by Venetian walls and accessible by funicular. It’s home to the Duomo di Bergamo, the city cathedral.

Lakeside Community of Lecco

In northern Italy, is a city on the southeastern shore of Lake Como, called Lecco. It’s surrounded by mountains like Monte Resegone, with trails for all levels, and the Piani d’Erna lookout point, accessed by cable car.

In the city center is the Basilica di San Nicolò, with its neo-Gothic bell tower.

If you are hiking the mountains near by, make plans to stay the night in one of the many refugios and enjoy the food and spectacular views! And don’t forget to pack a pair of gloves in the winter. Those chains are like grabbing dry ice at the top!

Metropolis Milan

Milan is a global capital of fashion and design, in Italy’s northern Lombardy region.

Home to the national stock exchange, it’s a financial hub also known for its high-end restaurants and shops.

The Gothic Duomo di Milano cathedral and the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent, housing Leonardo da Vinci’s mural “The Last Supper,” testify to centuries of art and culture.

Ancient Rome

Though Rome may be a very popular place for tourists, it is with good reason that so many people come here. Rich with ancient architecture and history, this city will never cease to leave you in awe as you wander through its streets and take in all of what it has.

Tip! — If you are planning to go inside of the coliseum, or any of the other ancient ruins or museums, it is highly recommended that you look into purchasing tickets well in advance online before going. It will help you avoid long lines, and possibly even missing out on getting to see something.

Charming Wroclaw

Steeped in rich and turbulent history, Wroclaw is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Poland.

Have fun on the over one hundred bridges and be sure to check out the lock bridge.

Charismatic Capital City of Lisbon

Sweeping Views of Sintra

It’s a resort town in the foothills of Portugal’s Sintra Mountains, near the capital of Lisbon.

The hilltop 19th-century Pena National Palace is known for a whimsical design and sweeping views.

A longtime royal sanctuary, its forested terrain is studded with pastel-colored villas and palaces.

The Moorish- and Manueline-style Sintra National Palace has elaborate tilework.

Climbing Mt. Insubong

Mt. Insubong Sits just north of Seoul, South Korea. All around this granite mountain are beautiful views and temples. Even if you are not a climber, it’s 100% worth hiking the trails in this area. If you get the chance to climb Mt. Insubong, I highly recommend it! I would also recommend you try to go with someone that is a part of a club in the area.
